Trading with Oscillators: Pinpointing Market Extremes-Theory and Practice by Mark Etzkorn,
Essential technical analysis tools, oscillators are a specialized group of indicators that act primarily as mechanisms for catching market turning points. In this indispensable new resource, Mark Etzkorn thoroughly examines all the facets of these popular trading tools, first explaining the logic on which they are based, then guiding you through the fundamentals and applications of such well-known indicators as momentum, rate of change (ROC), stochastics, the Relative Strength Index (RSI), and Moving Average Convergence-Divergence (MACD). Next, advanced trading issues and new oscillator developments are explored. Providing the framework you need to make sound trading decisions with momentum-based indicators, Trading with Oscillators offers complete information on the basic concepts underpinning each oscillator--how it works, what it measures, and what its strengths and weaknesses are--along with detailed data on historical performance, divergence characteristics, variable price inputs and time frames, and a realistic appraisal of trading strategies for different market conditions. "A comprehensive, realistic, and up-to-date explanation of a potentially valuable (but widely misused) class of technical indicators. Readers will learn not only the formulas and conventional interpretations of popular oscillators, but, more importantly, will gain an understanding of both the inherent limitations of oscillators and their appropriate role in the technical repertoire of the skilled trader." --Thomas A. Bierovic, Synergy Futures. "A realistic appraisal of oscillators, Etzkorn separates the myth from the fact. Trading with Oscillators should be read by any trader contemplating the use ofoscillators as a market timing tool." --Jack D.

Building Ventilation by David W. Etheridge, X
Building Ventilation by David W. Etheridge, X
This book sets down the fundamentals of the theory and measurement of building ventilation and describes the various techniques for predicting and measuring ventilation. It addresses both envelope flows and internal air motion. The first part of the book is primarily concerned with physical descriptions and theoretical models: starting with an overview of the basic mechanisms and characteristics of envelope flows, it then addresses the treatment of the flow characteristics of individual openings and mathematical models for complete building envelopes. Theories for internal air motion are then discussed in detail: mechanisms of mass transport in terms of air motion and age distribution, primary air flows in isolation, resulting flows in enclosed spaces, and flows through large internal openings. The second part, concerned with measurement techniques both at full scale and at model scale, begins with techniques for determining flow characteristics of envelope openings. The use of tracer gases in the study of age distribution and ventilation efficiency is dealt with in detail. Scale modelling for investigating both envelope flows and internal motions is also addressed. The final chapter deals with Computational Fluid Dynamics, since one of its main applications is an alternative to conventional experimental techniques. Natural ventilation is re-emerging as an alternative to mechanical systems in some commercial buildings and both natural and mechanical ventilation are dealt with in detail.

Ventilator-associated pneumonia - Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) refers to pneumonia which occurs in people who have required mechanical ventilation through an endotracheal or tracheostomy tube for at least 48 hours. VAP is a medical condition that results from infection which floods the small, air-filled sacs (alveoli) in the lung responsible for absorbing oxygen from the atmosphere.

Ventilator 202 - Ventilator 202 (in Serbian language, meaning: "Electric fan" 202) was a live radio show broadcasted by Beograd 202 radio station during 1980s and hosted by Zoran Modli. It was one of the most important shows of Belgrade 's "202" station and possibly also the most important project of its host.

Medical ventilator - A medical ventilator is a device designed to provide mechanical ventilation to a patient. Ventilators are chiefly used in intensive care medicine, home care, and emergency medicine (as standalone units) and in anesthesia (as a component of an anesthesia machine).

Normal mode - Normal modes in an oscillating system are special solutions where all the parts of the system are oscillating with the same frequency (called normal frequencies or allowed frequencies). The concept of normal modes is of vital importance in wave theory, optics and quantum mechanics.
